Thomas Peake & Co
Limited opened its doors
in 1949 on Charlotte
Street, Port of Spain,
operating as Hardware
Merchants, Mechanical
Contractors, and
Industrial and Marine
Suppliers, catering
mainly to the oil field
and sugar industries.
In 1958 the Company
moved to larger premises
on Henry Street, Port of
Spain, and expanded its
retail operations to
include home services,
appliances and air
conditioning.
To accommodate ever
increasing growth, in
1969 the Company moved
to its new headquarters
in Cocorite.
PEAKE is a family
business, presently run
by the third generation
of Peakes, who are not
only expanding current
business but moving into
developing new areas of
operation. We now have a
staff of over 500
employees and the group
can be split into four
main areas, namely:
